International SEO architecture without country-page duplicates
Nine languages only form a useful search architecture when every page is written statically, canonically unambiguous and linked to its genuine translations.
Review date: 28 August 2026Scope
Audit scope
- Nine static locale directories and their indexable page types
- Self-canonicals, thirteen market-language codes and x-default
- Localized metadata, internal links and sitemap assignment
Evidence
What the audit found
All nine language versions are part of the build; no page is produced by a browser or translation service.
Every public version has a self-canonical. hreflang connects reviewed equivalents and uses English for x-default.
Legal pages remain reachable but noindex. Unsupported market pages are not generated.
Implementation
What was implemented
- One route registry produces canonicals and alternates from the same source.
- The sitemap includes only indexable service, contact, guide and report pages.
- The Chinese copy explicitly distinguishes Baidu research from Google markets.
Boundary
Evidence boundary
This report evidences the technical and editorial architecture. It does not claim local establishments, indexing, rankings or market demand.
The model is intentionally smaller than a country-page factory: one real language, one clear task and one canonical page for each intent.
